World Peace Meditation - Friday, Dec 31st at 4 a.m.

The World Peace Meditation was begun on December 31, 1986. It was conceived by John Randolph Price, who believed that united prayer could change the consciousness of the world. He put out the word for people of all religious backgrounds and faith traditions to stop for an hour of meditation at noon Greenwich Mean Time. Around the world people responded by being willing to meet in prayer for world peace. Religious Science churches have kept the tradition alive with annual meditation services.

Our sanctuary will be open at 4 a.m. on Wednesday, December 31 for an hour long meditation service. You are invited to join in consciousness for peace by either attending the service or by setting your alarm clock and rising to spend the hour in meditation at your home. We know the power of prayer and believe that we create our world through prayer. We will serve a full breakfast after the meditation service in Harmony Hall.
